Amphenol Advanced Sensors, a leader in OEM sensors and sensor instrumentation seeks a Software Engineer for our Billerica, MA facility. Situated outside of Boston, Advanced Sensors is a new business unit within Amphenol that produces innovative sensing solutions for temperature, pressure, gas and moisture measurement applications.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead software development and support activities as part of the Validation New Product Introduction (NPI) team including:
  • Leading and managing the members of a dynamic team that delivers innovative solutions to our customers
  • Designing software architecture and functional code to deliver defined system requirements
  • Setting up and delivering software with high reliability and low (zero) bug count.
  • Working with field application engineers to support the product with our customers in the field
  • Establishing and implementing test cases for new software to ensure high levels of reliability
  • Providing manufacturing/production support in software use and debugging
  • Working with the Product Manager and other team members to define the next generation of Software Features and functionality for Validation products.

Required Qualifications include:

  • BS or MSc in Computer Science
  • Ability to fluently speak and write in the English language
  • Minimum of 5 years Computer Science experience post degree
  • Experience in working with remote teams and being able to deliver results within agreed time and budget
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project tasks on time and on budget.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with co-workers
  • Six Sigma training and/or experience applying principles to process improvement and/or product development.
  • Demonstrated ability to be agile and adaptable as situations warrant
  • Experience in operating within a Global Organization in multiple time zones

Desired Qualifications include:

  • Strong in implementing design patterns as per application needs. At least 2 years of experience in designing modules as per design patterns that are highly scalable.
  • 2-3 years of experience in implementing asynchronous architectures and implementation
  • Minimum 5-6 years of hands on coding experience in WPF, WCF and implementing MVVM and MVC design patterns.
  • 5 to 8 Years of hand on coding experience in C# .Net technology
  • 5-6 years of hands on experience in implementing Multi-threading and handling concurrency
  • At least 3 years of hand on experience in using TCP/IP, FTP protocols for data exchange
  • Experience in using Crystal Reports or similar Reporting tool in Win 8.1 and above
  • Proficiency in using Team foundation Server for version control of code files.
  • Good experience in using Windows API
  • Strong in Object oriented analysis and design skills (OOA/OOD).
