Product Application Engineer

Amphenol Advanced Sensors, headquartered in St. Mary’s, Pennsylvania, is a business unit within Amphenol that produces innovative sensor solutions for temperature, pressure, gas and moisture measurement applications.

When you join our global engineering team as an product application engineer, you will be responsible for driving growth of the Temperature product line.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Apply Advanced Sensors’ Temperature technology to given application focus area to provide customer solutions
  • Technical resource to the sales team for application focus area supporting the technical sale
  • Identify and develop technical training and sales tools for the application focus area
  • Remain current on new technology through benchmarking and tear-down analysis … and imparting lessons learned on design engineers
  • Leveraging lessons learned and working with the design engineers, develop design building blocks for the application focus area
  • Shared ownership of pipeline growth, for application focus area, driving and measuring pipeline growth relative to application focus area
  • Drive and support sales account plans relative to application focus area
  • Develop and maintain a multi-generation application plan via product roadmaps, CPO’s, NPI’s and NTI’s … with the intent of feeding plan into the business strategy and budget process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in an Engineering or Physics discipline
  • 5+ years of engineering experience within product development/custom product engineering/application engineer.
  • Experience with APQP, FMEA's, Control Plans
  • Experience working within a structured new product development process (design reviews, tollgates, peer reviews, customer signoffs)
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with customers, foster relationships and grow business pipeline
