Amphenol Advanced Sensors, a Fortune 500 Company, has an opening for a Sales Application Engineer for our St. Marys, PA site.
This hunter function will support & identify new business opportunities with sales and the distribution channel. Also provide technical specs/detail to convert opportunities to revenue, partner w/customers to apply solutions to application needs, partner w/eng to develop cost estimates and technical/commercial proposals, develop selling tools, datasheets and FAQs to assist the selling cycle, proactively drive the sales pipeline, build deep/sustaining relationships with clear roadmaps for growth, maintain accurate sales/order forecasts, identify market trends and future/current customer needs, review/evaluate market conditions and customer demands, stay abreast of competitive situations and potential threats, training. 20% travel.
Required: Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline. 3+ years of application engineering or technical selling experience in distribution and/or industrial markets. High energy, self-motivated, strong passion for growing revenue and interfacing with customers. Ability to close opportunities, train sales team, and proactively drive opportunity pipeline of product portfolio. Ability to identify and communicate a clear value-proposition to customers and highlighting technical differentiation to drive margins. Preferred: Experience in the sensors or electronics markets and Technical BS degree.
