Amphenol Advanced Sensors, a leader in OEM sensors and sensor instrumentation seeks a seasoned, Technical Sales Account Manager for our greater Detroit territory. This is a highly visible hunter role (not pioneer territory) with a significant current sales base and service of repeat revenue from strategic accounts in automotive, commercial vehicle, technical sales, powertrain & HVAC.

Major responsibilities include:

  • Significantly growing the greater Detroit territory
  • Minimal overnight travel
  • Driving profitable sales growth with strategic accounts and building deep and sustaining relationships with clear roadmaps for growth
  • New customer pipeline to secure long term growth and meeting business objectives.
  • Identifying market trends and future customer/market needs though close interaction with customers and supporting industry trade events.
  • Maintaining accurate sales and orders forecasts
  • Maintain and enhance customer relationships with outings/entertainment
  • Identify/develop sales channels
  • Coordinating with regional teams to best serve global key accounts.

Requirements include:

  • BS w/technical degree
  • 7 years proven sales success in automotive/commercial vehicle sales, technical sales or application experience in temperature, pressure or photoelectric sensing.
  • Deep understanding of powertrain (diesel, gas or electric), HVAC or safety systems
  • High energy and self-motivation with strong passion for the transportation industry.
  • Reside within 1 hour travel time of greater Detroit area


  • Education in physics, electrical or mechanical engineering – or equivalent, relevant work experience.
  • Experience or deep understanding of temperature, pressure or photoelectric sensing.
